Yeah I know this is basic but its hard to learn over zoom because my professor has internet problems and his voice is extremely choppy. Anyway you could give an example of how to do a basic function?

When I try to put in the function for my first question, I continue to get an error saying that one of my '(' may be missing a closing, but all the paranthesis are there. Any ideas?
