Terminating dde23 when a steady state (a periodic solution of unknown frequency) is reached

I have a set of delay differential equations that I am solving using dde23. I want to stop the integration on reaching a steady state periodic function. The problem is I do not know the frequency of the steady state value. Please let me know if there is any way to overcome this.
