I just upgraded to 2020b and now it appears I am unable to save certain changes to subcharts within Stateflow, details:
  • Changes in text-based code on the top level of the chart save.
  • Changes in the stateflow structure (e.g. adding a new state) within a subchart save.
  • Changes in text-based code in a subchart reverts back to its original form after saving and restarting.
I originally built the model in 2017a and it functioned correctly before upgrading.
Currently installed toolboxes:
MATLAB Version 9.9 (R2020b)
Simulink Version 10.2 (R2020b)
Embedded Coder Version 7.5 (R2020b)
MATLAB Coder Version 5.1 (R2020b)
MATLAB Compiler Version 8.1 (R2020b)
MotoHawk Code Generation Toolbox Version 2020b_beta3.2704
Simulink Coder Version 9.4 (R2020b)
Stateflow Version 10.3 (R2020b)
I’ve tried to reimport the chart from a working 2017a version but it didn’t fix the issues. Anyone have any ideas on how to correct this?

After further review it does not appear that Stateflow is detecting a change in the model when I modify the text within a subchart (an asterisk is not added after the model name). I can get around this by right clicking on the state, going into properties, and modifying the label text. Looks like it may be a bug in the code.
