Hi all, firstly i am a complete matlab newbie and trying to learn it as best i can in my own time and using old assessments from my university that I have found.
The problem that I am working on has me completely lost and I really need some help. The problem is that I have to work out is; if a car is traveling at 20 mph and 17.88 meters behind the car in front and a stone is thrown out by the car in front, would that stone high the front of the following car on the front of the bonnet based on the high of bonnet being 0.8 meters.
So I figure I have to work out the "flight path" of a stone for angel between 0 and 90 degrees. Therefore I assume a good way of showing this would be to create a graph or some kind showing all the different flight paths of the stone.
Firstly is this the best way to do it? And secondly help if it is, i can find any examples to help me work out the code.
Thanks for any help.

The question cannot be answered without knowing the velocity of the stone (speed and direction); you also need the velocity of the wind and the 3D profile of the stone to calculate the air resistance and wind effects.
