How to edit phytree: show node on/off, and branch color

Hi -

I have some questions about plotting phytree. I tried to plot a kinase/kinome tree.

Is there anyway to show just branches without showing the nodes and color code the branch (something similar to what's shown in this page http://kinase.com/human/kinome/)

I managed to get a tree plotted (https://dl.dropbox.com/u/52970420/mytree.pdf), but I have no idea how to go further from here.

I would be much obliged for any suggestion/help.
