GUI Quick Start Not working with Java 1.7?

I am currently using Matlab 2011b and am using it with the jdk1.7.0_03 version.

The only problem is when I try to start the guide: GUI Quick Start screen does not completely open. The screen stays grey.

The problem is that I need this jdk version to connect with something i'm using. I know that the normal jdk version of Matlab 2011b is 1.6.0_17, but this version does not make me connect with my server.

So is there any solution to let me use the GUI Quick Start screen with the jdk1.7.0_03 version on Matlab 2011b?

Also, It's possible that I will work with Matlab 2012B in the future, will Java JDK 7 be compatible with this version? Will I be able to open GUI Quick Start with this java version?
