What is Mu and Performance Gradient ?

I see these parameters in the NN Toolbox but I can't seem to find an explanation on what they are and how they work.
Anyone here can please clarify it for me or point me in the right direction please?

Look up trainlm and Levenberg-Marquardt in the website documentation

Thank you! I think I see it, "Marquardt adjustment parameter" as is called in doc trainbr and more or less explained in doc trainlm.
