I have a vector with 112706 float value describing a speed profile. When I launch the command
findchangepts(T7ConfBAFFA1speed, 'MaxNumChanges', 10, 'Statistic', 'std')
matlab get busy and dosn't get any results, the ony option is to kill execution.
The very strange thing is that if I launch
findchangepts(T7ConfBAFFA1speed)
it work and return a value and a plot, but if I launch
findchangepts(T7ConfBAFFA1speed, 'MaxNumChanges', 1)
get busy and dosn't get any results, the ony option is to kill execution.
What I am doing wrong?
Thank you all in advance for your availability!

I understand that you are unable to run the findchangepts when MaxNumChanges are provided. The issue which existed till R2016b was when FINDCHANGEPTS function was called with an argument of type "single" and high "MaxNumChanges" value, loops infinitely and never returns.
% This works
findchangepts(double(singledata), 'MaxNumChanges', 250)
% This never returns
findchangepts(singledata, 'MaxNumChanges', 250)
% This also works
findchangepts(singledata)
However, post R2017a release the issue has been fixed. If you are using R2017a or higher release and still facing the issue, kindly attach your data files here so that I can better help you.
Thanks,
Ayush

I am not certain the results will be better, however the ischange function (introduced in R2017b) is an alternative.
