Reducing a plant model for MPC

I have a 8x8 order model that I'm trying to reduce to 4x4 (or even lower if possible). I used. When I try to import rsys

rsys = balred(mpc1_plant,4);

I have seen a similar post but not sure if this is an accepted answer or there is any alternative. Thanks.
