Unable to download https://codeload.github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_Motor_Shield_V2_Library/zip/1.0.1. Error downloading URL. Your network connection may be down or your proxy settings improperly configured. Verify your network connection and proxy settings. If they are properly configured, retry the support package installation. If the problem persists, disable your anti-virus temporarily and retry support package installation. If these steps do not work, contact MathWorks Technical support.

Hey,
I had faced this issue previously. The best way to workaround this issue is to download the third-party tool in a browser and save the file to the downloads directory the installer is expecting to find it and proceed with the install.
Please find below the precise steps. I suggest you delete all previous downloads of the support package before start following the steps below.
  1. Start MATLAB
  2. Type: supportPackageInstaller;
  3. Choose "Download from Internet" and pick MATLAB Support Package for Arduino
  4. Start the Download
  5. The download should fail with the error that you saw. Next, go to a browser (e.g: Chrome) and download the file manually from https://codeload.github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_Motor_Shield_V2_Library/zip/1.0.1
  6. Once downloaded, rename the file to EXACTLY as the following with NO EXTENSIONS ---> 1.0.1
  7. Please copy the above file to the folder "C:\MATLAB\SupportPackages\R2015b\downloads\arduino_download"
  8. Restart the Installer by closing it and opening it again using the command supportPackageInstaller
  9. Choose "Install from Folder" and specify the folder that contains the previously downloaded support package files and the manually downloaded Adafruit Motor Shield file (that now should be called "1.0.1"). The download folder to specify should have the contents as shown in the attached screenshot.
  10. Proceed with the install and should go through fine
Hope this is helpful!
