Hello MATLAB community, newbie here. I am trying to simulate a rectifier on Simscape but the simulation is extremely slow. You can check out the screenshot at http://i1302.photobucket.com/albums/ag127/renguoma/rectifier_simscape_zps57f15786.jpg
I have tried using ode23t solver with accelerator and while it did run faster, the output seems incorrect, as can be seen from the link below. http://i1302.photobucket.com/albums/ag127/renguoma/946efd9d-1bb2-4056-acc2-eedb8d7a9475_zps959bcf1e.jpg I expect the output to be DC and yet I see a sine wave. I have simulated the same circuit in SimPower and had no problems with it. Please help.

This is an effort to answer old unanswered questions on Matlab answers:
The signal is rectified, it's just that the capacitor is not charging and holding it's charge. It is likely the circuit parameters need to be changed such as a larger resistor. This could also explain the slow simulation time as the smaller the rc time constant, the slower the simulation will be.

Doesn't explain the discrepancy with simulation in SimPowerSystems which the the User mentions as being much faster.
