I have a unstructured mesh with node coordinates and respective u,v velocities. The streamline plot fucntion needs monotonic data, is there any other way to plot stream lines using unstructured mesh?

Use griddata to create monotonic data

Typically meshes that come from complex geometries of FEA are actually unstructured, so griddata would not work in this case.
i found this link here, that plots steamlines from meshes, but one of the functions used (tsearch) is deprecated. It would be great if streamline simply had a way of plotting with meshes, like quiver does!
