An optimizaton technique is applied to determine the optimal value. after obtaining optimal value

i need to compare the results with existing methods. To determine how much of my optimal solution is

better to determine i need to apply metric.

example:

i need to determine how much of optimal value (proposed one) is better than literature

method. to determine, metric is to apply.

my question is there any matlab code or instruction to find metric of optimization technqiue

is there any procedure or steps to be followed to determine the metric(any type of metric to

determine convergence and diversity)
