Finding a string in a string

I'm studying biology and trying to take a sequence from and RNA like for example "AUGCACGGCAAC" and turn it into its aminoacid form like MHGN. I was able to check for aminoacids but I wasn't able to put out the results one after the other in a unified form. Any ideas?

Split into groups of 3 (with mat2cell or with regexp), use ismember to find the position of each codon in a dictionary array (which you need to make). Then you can use the positions to index the second part of the dictionary.
