could anyone help me how to write applyhatch (gcf,'|-+.\/') to save in png

i have generated bar graph using colours. As I need to use patterns i used

applyhatch(gcf,'|-+.\/')

to generate pattern. But the graph with patterns doesnot look clear. so I want to use write command similar to

im_hatch = applyhatch_pluscolor(fH,  '-x/.\', 0, [ 1 0 1 10 1], jet(5));
imwrite(im_hatch,'one.png','png')

could anyone please help me on this.
