Counting objects with different size in the images

Dear All;

I have objects with different sizes in the image, i would like to classify them in different ranges based on the their size range , how can i do that.

It classifies 5 and 10 cent coins based on their area. Download it and try it. It's just a simple script that uses a standard MATLAB demo image shipped with the Image Processing Toolbox.
