Toolboxes can be uninstalled primarily from the Add-On Manager, or with the MathWorks Product Uninstaller for previous releases.

Add-Ons Manager

To open the Add-On Manager:
  • Open the "Add-Ons" menu in the Environment section of the MATLAB toolstrip.
  • Click "Manage Add-Ons" in the Add-Ons menu.
R2025a and newer:
"Manage Add-Ons" will open a new panel in MATLAB, labeled "Add-Ons". In this panel, under the "Installed" dropdown, click on "Manage".
This will launch the Add-On Manager. A list of all the toolboxes you have installed will be visible. Each toolbox will also have its own 3-Dots menu. Click on the three dots to select the option to "Uninstall" the toolbox.
R2024b and previous:
"Manage Add-Ons" will launch the Add-On Manager directly.  A list of all the toolboxes you have installed will be visible. Each toolbox will also have its own 3-Dots menu. Click on the three dots to select the option to "Uninstall" the toolbox.

MathWorks Product Uninstaller

The MathWorks Product Uninstaller can only be used to uninstall select toolboxes on Windows and releases R2024b and previous. To launch the uninstaller, open the Control Panel and open "Programs and Features." Locate MATLAB in the list of available programs, select it, and click uninstall. The MATLAB uninstaller will then launch. Check the boxes for products you wish to uninstall, and uncheck the boxes for products you wish to keep. Finally, click the "Uninstall" button to uninstall the toolboxes.
Note: It is not possible to uninstall specific toolboxes from MATLAB on OS X or Linux in R2015a and earlier.

If you are using MS Windows you might need to Run As Administrator
gives a command line method of uninstalling one add-on at a time, when you know its name or identifier (which you can find out using matlab.addons.installedAddons )
