Why does the UNIX installer allow me to install toolboxes when no MATLAB is present?

I unknowingly installed my toolboxes without having an actual MATLAB installation on my machine. During the installation, I never received any type of warning or error message letting me know that MATLAB is required for the toolbox installation.

This is a known issue with our Unix installer and our Development team is currently working on an enhancement for a future release of MATLAB.
