Why am I unable to access the online PDF documentation using a proxy server in MATLAB?

My connection to the internet is set up such that I need to log in with a user ID and password to connect to the internet. When I try to access the online PDF documentation from my MATLAB Help browser, I simply receive a "file not found" error.

This enhancement has been incorporated in Release 14 Service Pack 3 (R14SP3). For previous product releases, read below for any possible workarounds:

The ability to connect to the internet using a proxy server that requires a login and password is not available in MATLAB. As a result, the Help browser is unable to locate the file when the PDF documentation is accessed through the Help Browser.

As a workaround, connect to the internet from your standard browser and access the PDF documentation from the MathWorks documentation page at:
