Feature Request -- To add section highlighting to the editor

Can you show a screen shot of what you mean? There is limited syntax highlighting right now in the ThingSpeak MATLAB editor. But we appreciate feature rquests and discussion. You may also be able to get that help using the editor at MATLAB online and then copying the code mack to ThingSpeak.
