Air Humidification in a Cooling Tower

App made for the Laboratory of Separation Processes of Universidad Metropolitana de Caracas. March, 2022.

The app allows to determine the inlet and outlet air conditions. Adicionally, it calculates the dry air mass flow required for the operation conditions. Replacement water mass flow is also calculated, as well as the total heat transfer and the ratio between convection and diffusion heat. Tower specs are also calculated. The operation line and equilibrium are displayed and values as global transfer coefficient, NUT and HUT are visible.
