In crowded wireless environments (e.g., urban areas, IoT networks), spectrum is often heavily used. Effective spectrum management is crucial to:
  1. Avoid interference with primary users.
  2. Maximize utilization of underused spectrum.
  3. Dynamically allocate resources based on demand.
Priority Weighting: Assign priority to secondary users based on:
Signal demand, Quality of service requirements and Interference tolerance
  1. Dynamic Allocation: Allocate free subcarriers preferentially to high-priority users.
  2. Adaptive Power Control: Assign more power to higher-priority users in free subcarriers.
  3. Feedback Loop: Continuously sense the spectrum and adjust allocations (like SDR real-time adaptation).
This approach allows crowded areas to share spectrum efficiently and ensures fairness and high throughput.
