Text-based list selection

Sometimes you need to ask the end user to make a decision, but you don't want to deal with a dialog box. This function prints text in the command window and waits until the user's response makes sense. Like MATLAB's listdlg function, single and multiple selections are supported. Backspaces are used to keep from typing mistakes from filling up the command window.
