Several improvements to original 'vline':
- Vectorize plotting for speed
- Allow axes handle(s) to be specified
- Allow standard line options, e.g. 'linewidth'
- Rotate labels if requested
- Identify lines with 'vline' tags
- Remove existing vertical lines easily with 'clear'.
