pregress.m

A Matlab function pregress.m to carry out linear regression for an arbitrary order n polynomial.

FUNCTION INPUTS:
* a set of data points (xi; yi), for i=1:N
* the order of the fit
FUNCTION OUTPUT:
* should output the estimated polynomial coefficients.
USES:
* Use the regression function to fit a polynomial globally (i.e., to the entire data set).
* Plot the fitted polynomial (using a continuous line) on top of your actual data points marked as discrete symbols. * Experiment with the order n and observe the quality of your results.
