This submission contains several classes that can be used to log information while a program is running. Logging can be done to files, the MATLAB console, to NUL or to any combination of these. See logger_example.m for some examples.
It should be straightforward to add new classes that log to a COM port, or to a server via TCPIP.

The code makes use of MATLAB classes and was developed with R2013b, yet it should be possible to adapt it to run on earlier versions.
