Plotting and examining speech waveforms is one of the most useful ways of understanding the properties of speech. This MATLAB exercise displays a speech waveform as both a single line waveform and as a running plot of speech samples (called a strips plot). This exercise allows the user to both plot and play user-selected regions of the waveform. The file '1.6 Strips Plot.pdf' provides a User's Guide for this exercise.
