<b>BCoM</b> is an application developped in Matlab. It's a user-friendly interface that allows you to calculate the whole body centre of mass (BCoM) based on morphometrics (segment length, mass and centre of mass). It calculates the position of the BCoM for animals having a tail or not, for mammals and lizards.
The application offers two postures:
<ul><li></li></ul>a standardized posture (in the sagittal plane for mammals and in the horizontal plane for lizards) that cannot be changed by the user;
<ul><li></li></ul>a "natural" posture for which the user can change the knee and elbow angles.
This postural adjustment will affect the position of the BCoM and the user can play with different postures and morphometrics to see how it alters its position. By clicking on the "<i>Plot</i>" button, the BCoM position is provided graphically and as a percentage of trunk length from the caudal part (hip joint).
