Currently, he is a post candidacy graduate research student and plans to obtain his PhD in June of 2015. His current work is focusing on measuring the electric field development with sub-nanosecond precision within several different types of plasma discharges. Thus far, he has completed measurements within diffuse double dielectric barrier discharges as well as having taken polarization resolved measurements of the electric field in a surface fast ionization wave discharge. These measurements have been completed using a technique similar to coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy (CARS) known as E-Field 4 Wave Mixing.
