I'm a physical oceanographer, driven to improve our understanding of climate change effects in the ocean. My research is largely focused on how the changing Southern Ocean eventually impacts the global thermohaline circulation as well as the stabilizing ice shelves that surround the Antarctic Ice Sheet. One of my current goals is to go beyond traditional observational efforts and to contribute to efficient navigation of autonomous instruments under ice.
