Description
Built on decades of experience supporting academic programs worldwide, Quanser’s Control Systems & Dynamics Labs bring together the platforms, software, resources, and digital twins needed to create a complete controls teaching and research environment. This broader collection is designed to support multiple departments, academic levels, and application areas through a consistent MATLAB/Simulink-based workflow, spanning hands-on work with SISO, SIMO, and MIMO systems as well as key topics such as modeling, identification, stability, and control design.
Within this ecosystem, Qube-Servo 3 offers a practical foundation for core controls learning on a compact, fully integrated platform, while Aero 2 brings reconfigurable aerospace dynamics through coupled pitch and yaw experiments and multiple system configurations.
To learn more about these platforms, including their capabilities, configurations, and academic resources, visit the Qube-Servo 3 page and Aero 2 page.
This integrated workflow from design to validation is enabled by QUARC™, Quanser’s real-time control software library, which connects Simulink-based development with real-time execution, testing, and validation across Quanser control systems, robotics, and autonomous platforms. QUARC connects seamlessly with Simulink, allowing control algorithms designed in Simulink to be executed in real time on Quanser physical hardware or virtual environments. It generates real-time code directly from Simulink models and enables rapid control prototyping without requiring low-level programming. Through Simulink External Mode, users can tune parameters, monitor signals, and stream data live while the model runs. This integration bridges simulation and hardware, supporting workflows such as hardware-in-the-loop testing and real-time system validation.
