How to take multiple snapshots from the camera via typing commands (Not via imaqtool), thus how to save them in an array?

I want to know how multiple snapshots can be taken via inputting a series of commands in the mat lab (provided that the camera is connected)and I would also like to know how these many snapshots can be saved in to an array?

What I mean by not using imaqtool is that, I don't want to use IMAQTOOl GUI version.

See the documentation for Webcams. I haven’t experimented much with these myself yet, although I downloaded and installed the Webcam Support Package.

It doesn't help my friend. Thank you very much for the reply though. My question is very simple. I don't think it requires much coding or webcam package installation. I believe that the answer should be very easy and a simple one as well. (may be 4-5 lines of coding). Looking forward to replies. Plz. help

It does require the webcam package installation. It’s a free download and the installation is automatic, so go for it. I’ve already provided all the links and other information you need.

After you’ve installed it and you want to experiment by taking a selfie, this works:

cam = webcam;
preview(cam)
img1 = snapshot(cam);
closePreview(cam)
clear('cam')
imshow(img1)
imwrite(img1,sprintf('My First Selfie %s', datestr(now, 'yyyy-mm-dd HH:MM:SS.FFF')))

You can then upload it to your profile page to use as your avatar.
