Identification of different types of medical images using Image Segmentation, Texture analysis and relevant methods.

I have foundational level knowledge in MATLAB and I'm assigned a task to create a function to identify between different types of medical images (CT of Head, MRI of brain etc) using image segmentation, texture analysis, shape signature and other relevant methods without using ML/DL methods.

Can someone help me to get started with the algorithm, the steps and the concepts needed to achieve the same.

Please load the all images MATLAB, which to be classify, once you observe carefully, you may get the clue? Seems to be possible, just need to explore.
