Extract data from plot, with specific x and y points?

Hi, I would like to extract the intensity values of a figure for specific x and y points representing the blue circle in the plot below. I know the x and y points, I want to extract the values representing the colors.

If you made this graph yourself, you should have a matrix, Z, used in creating the colored map;

contourf(X,Y,Z)

If so, you should be able to get the color values using

colorValue = Z(xIndex,yIndex)
