What is the difference between xcorr2,filter2 and imfilter?

I have seen a lot of code related filters,there is xcorr2, filter2, and imfilter. What is the difference between them?

xcorr2:

Cross-correlation of two matrices

filter2:

FIR filter on a matrix based on coefficients of a other matrix.

imfilter:

Apply on image, performs multidimensional filtering according to one or more specified options.
