Help on text and colours

so i have this graph

t = linspace(0,5*2*pi)';

y = cos(t);

plot(t,cos(t))

and i want some text in the middle how do i show the graph and the text this is what i have

t = text(0.5,0.5,'text');

s = t.FontSize;

t.FontSize = 11;

but whenever i use it the graph wont show

and how do i change the colour

You can use title('Enter Text') or legend('Enter Text')
