Fill in a Polar Scatter Plot

Is they a way to add a filled shape to a polarscatter plot?

Patch() and fill() both give me errors due to the polar axes.

Do everything in Cartesian coordinates, although defining the coordinates in terms of r and θ. Then, use pol2cart to create them as Cartesian coordinates, and plot them, similar to the approach in How do I remove the border of a polarplot?
