is there a way i can see which commands/functions come out each year ? for example i'm interested in commands that came out this year up to the present day if there are any , or last year and so on. is there such a thing ? if so how can i access/see?

The Release Notes documentation section has all the changes for every recent release for MATLAB and the Toolboxes.
