Extended Tire Features for Vehicle Dynamics Blockset

Import, plot and fit tire data for use with Vehicle Dynamics Blockset and Simscape tire models

The Extended Tire Features for Vehicle Dynamics Blockset™ provides a set of tools to work with tire data and integrate tire models into vehicle simulations. Tire data describes the operating conditions of a tire, and tire models describe tire behavior with mathematical models.

Using the tireData and tireModel functions and methods, you can:

• Import tire measurement data from files (Tydex v1.3, Calspan®, and column-oriented text)
• Preprocess tire measurement data with built-in data processing methods (crop, filter, split, downsample, mean, and median)
• Import tire models from TIR files
• Plot tire measurement data and tire model behavior
• Fit new tire models for the supported tire model types (Magic Formula 6.2, Dugoff, and Fiala)
• Perform computations on tire data using tire model parameter sets to calculate tire responses
• Export tire model parameter values to a TIR file, or to Vehicle Dynamics Blockset and Simscape tire blocks for use in simulation

These tools provide a complete workflow to fit and simulate tire models.
