Oscilloscope
This program operates to retrieve numerical data from oscilloscope trace pictures. To use the program, please proceed as follows
1- save the desired picture in work directory
2- download the program zip file above, unzip the files, save them in work
3- in work space, enter
>> oscilloscope( x-ensitivity,y-sensetivity, ‘picture file name and format, No. of contour)
As the picture appears, make three clicks as follows:
I- on the oscilloscope picture (0,0) position,
II-one screen division to the right,
III- and one screen division up
4- choose the most clear one of the three views appearing by entering 1, 2, or 3
5- As the contour plot appears, click on the most shape representative contour
6- Enter the numerical value appearing on the desired contour in the previous step
7- Check the resulting plot. If it has no stray spikes press enter. If it has few spikes, press 1. this will prompt the program to ask you how many spikes you need to eliminate enter the number and start making two clicks on the two sides of each spike. This will produce the final plot. Data will be ready in x and y vectors
8- If the plot produced after step 6 contains a large number of spikes, start all over again changing the No. of contours and/or the selected view in step 4.
