Projectile app

Analyze the projectile motion with quadratic drag and in 2D

Use this app to investigate the characteristics of the projectile motion problem. The user interface allows you to change all system parameters. The mouse can be used to change the launch angle interactively, e.g. to determine the optimal launch angle that maximizes the projectile range. Alternatively, the built-in functionality computes the maximum range at the push of a button.
The app is well documented. The help section guides the user through problem definition and the optimization algorithm and describes in detail how the problems are solved: the full non-linear differential equations are defined symbolically, linear problems (not including drag) are solved analytically, non-linear problems (including drag) are solved numerically.
